When you use Ask Tucksy, we process the information you enter in order to provide the service.

If you are signed in, conversations may be associated with your Tucksy account so that you can return to previous conversations and so that relevant context can be used to provide continuity within the service.

Depending on the features available to your account, previous conversations may appear in areas such as Previous Chats or Previous Moments.

Ask Tucksy may use automated systems or artificial intelligence to process information you submit and generate responses.

We may also analyse Ask Tucksy conversations to understand how the service is being used, identify common questions, improve Tucksy and understand topics that parents are asking about.

Where we use conversation information for broader research, product development, editorial insights or reporting, we aim to use aggregated or de-identified information wherever reasonably possible.

For example, Tucksy may publish an insight such as:

“Half of this week's conversations were about disrupted nights.”

Such insights should not identify individual parents or children.

We do not sell Ask Tucksy conversations or use private conversation content to allow third-party advertisers to target you based on sensitive information you have shared in a conversation.

Tucksy may allow you to create journal entries, notes or other records about your parenting experiences.

These entries may contain information about your baby's sleep, routines, behaviour or your own experiences.

Journal entries and saved conversations may be associated with your account so that you can return to them later.

We process this information to provide the journal, conversation history and related account features.

Please only record information that you are comfortable storing within your Tucksy account.

Information concerning health may constitute special category personal data under UK data protection law.

Tucksy does not require detailed medical records to use its general editorial content or newsletters.

However, when using Ask Tucksy, contacting us or completing certain forms, you may voluntarily provide information relating to health, feeding, development, mental wellbeing or other sensitive matters.

Where special category data is processed, we will ensure that an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, an additional condition for processing special category data applies.

This may contribute to features such as What Parents Are Asking, editorial planning, product improvements or broader insights about the issues parents are experiencing.

Where information from Ask Tucksy conversations, surveys, feedback or other interactions is used to produce public trends or statistics, we aim to present that information in aggregated or de-identified form.

We will not intentionally publish a private Ask Tucksy conversation in identifiable form without appropriate permission.

If we wish to publish an identifiable testimonial, quote, story or case study from information you provided privately, we will seek appropriate permission before doing so.

We may invite users to participate in surveys, interviews, research or feedback activities.
